Our team is comprised of genuinely gifted minds

1975/1976

The first Asian made multi module (5 modules) offshore platform called Pulai A was completed at Pandan Yard at Avery Lawrence Singapore for EPMI (ExxonMobil) where our team was heavily involved in the Project, Mr.Longernecker, the project manager said

“a great job done”

1978/1979

A 50 MW steam power plant with GE turbine/Foster Wheeler steam boiler was commissioned in 1979 by our team. Mr. John Dyer, the Black and Veatch consultant said:

“Contribution by your team was invaluable to overcome the technical difficulties in start- up & commissioning this plant”

1981-1985

Under Milford Haven Automation in the early days of oil and gas in Malaysia, our team managed “Platform Maintenance Contract”; a contract growing from a team of 70 technician/craftsmen to 300 technician/craftsmen; extending to operations; a three-year contract, eventually extended to five years. It was a contract by which Malaysians first tasted the oil and gas work; the rigorous discipline. For EPMI, it was no easy to extend the three-year contract without a retender. Mr. Daryl Archibald, the Head of offshore operation, fed by fully satisfied seventeen platform supervisors and three area supervisors (Pushcash/Henke/Robinson) of the super performance, told our director:

“We are happy if you do this contract as long as we can stretch the contract”

1982/1985

The word of the above super performance landed many contracts in oil & gas; including “TCOT Start Up and Commissioning Contract” in 1984, “MLNG Mechanical Maintenance Contract” in 1983 for two years; “E & I contract for Platformer II” for Shell refinery, Port Dickson in 1982; and “Instrumentation Contract for Port Klang Power Station Phase 1” in 1983.

1985

With all these multi-million-dollar projects, the contracts were managed with a small staff of 25 Malaysians; a unique feat in those early days. In 1985, the group was owned by Eldres IXL Australia. The manager of Elders IXL after a three day review of the operations in Malaysia said:

“How do you manage all these business with such a small office and staff?”

1998/1989

Kvearner Process Systems in Malaysia successfully developed a “world’s first plant” to separate C6 plus components (severely damaging their membrane plant) from the gas stream in Gulf Resources Plant in Sumatra Indonesia; our team playing a crucial part in the project. Mr. John Smith, after a review of the performance of the plant to our team:

“Excellent Job done”

2001/2002

Our team developed the “world’s first” fully automated intelligent computer system to conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) to test 111 single wellhead control panel; completely eliminating any human error in the tests; with a 12 step sequence which could not be manually overridden and a test certificate printed only after all the steps are satisfied. Mr. Mohd Nazir after reviewing the system and after most are tested, said:

“Aramco will try to make this Aramco standard”
